Kesombongan Pekerja

Di sebuah area perumahan, semua bapak - bapak berkumpul dan mencoba memamerkan pekerjaan mereka.

A : Dari semua warga, pekerjaan saya yang paling berat.

A : Mengapa anda?

G : Ya mengapa anda? Setahu kami anda adalah pengangguran.

B : Memang saya pengangguran, tapi saya harus mendengar kesombongan bapak - bapak dan menerimanya secara ikhlas adalah hal yang berat.

Semua terdiam.

Ambassador

Hi Teen!

First, I would like to say sorry for posting lately. I've backed to my routine because certain reasons. I've finished some of activities. One of my past activities is being a representative of Central Java "POLDA" to be a Traffic Ambassador (Duta Lalu Lintas).

Well, I don't wanna talk about my past experience (maybe later), but I wanna talk about how to be good ambassador.

Ambassador is not only a person who has great knowledge about what she/he will represent of, but also have a great communication skill and open minded person so she/he can socialize their knowledge with plural community. It's better for her/him to have big confidence, so she/he can represent her/his materials well.

Not all of Indonesian are rich people. Not all of us have cars or precious things or branded products. So an ambassador should be able to place herself/himself with the use of language and customize their appearance with the communities that they will face. For an example : An Ambassador went to the village to promote a brand or product they represent for, but she/he come with all branded costumes, branded jacket, branded jacket or others. Beside that, the ambassador using complex sentences so, it will not works well for the villagers. So, an ambassador is not only smart but also can socialize well everything that she/he represents of by knowing the situations that she/he will face.

"I am NOT an ORDINARY student"

First of all, all of us know well that we are students, aren’t we? After knowing it well, let’s talk about students’ duties. If we make list of student’s duties, maybe we will write down these words or these sentences:
1. Studying hard.
2. Doing exercises and a lot of homeworks.
3. Paying attention to our teachers.
4. Going to course.
5. Etc,
I totally agree with those arguments, but if you only do those activities, sorry if I say that you are ‘ordinary’ students.

In fact, many countries have high population and have low great human resources including Indonesia. A lot of people in Indonesia are smart, and some of them are genius. But, most of them or maybe most of Indonesian people are lack of skills and experiences. It doesn’t make us able to survive in global era. Most of smart people become unemployment people nowadays. There are some factors that cause this condition. One of the factors that create that condition is stagnancy of young generation’s creativities. If you try to find job vacancy in newspaper, one of requirements is related with experiences. But, it’s very difficult to get any experiences after graduation nowadays. So, what can we do as student in this era?

MAKING OUR OWN WAY AND GETTING OUR JOBS NOW!
It sounds crazy, doesn’t it? But, that is one of the alternative ways that we can do right now.
So, why do we find money or take a job? There are some possible reasons that I can share to you:
1. We can get valuable experiences.
2. It will add our confidence in public area.
3. We can improve our abilities.
4. We can learn more not only in theory but also how to practice it.
5. We will get more respect and also more trust from another people around us.
6. And if we are lucky, we will get some money.

Actually, there are many other things that we can get. Now, let’s see how to get jobs.

Actually, we can get jobs based on our hobbies, our interests, and also our abilities. Many ways that we can choose such as:
1. Getting side jobs
a. We can get side jobs like being wedding singer, announcer, giving private class, magazine’s contributor, author, writer, and many else. In this era, it’s possible for us to get those jobs that will also help us to develop our abilities although we are teenagers.
b. If we get side jobs, we will learn more about some important points that we don’t get in school.

2. MAKING OUR OWN WAY
a. If we are brave enough, let’s start our own business.
b. In this case, I suggest you to be entrepreneur.

Being Entrepreneur
Have you read “rich dad poor dad” that was written by Robert Kiyosaki? I have read and I want to share you about a shocking fact. 1% people of this world are the owner of 90% money in this world. And 5% people in the world are the owner of 50% money in this world. And all of 1% people that have 90% money are entrepreneurs. And if you divide all money in this world to all people in this world with the same amount, it will turn back to same result quickly. It’s only about mind set. I think now it’s about your parents mind set. Simple example based on Kiyosaki’s book: the poor dad said to his son, “Son you have to study hard so you can be accepted in great company.” But the rich dad said, “Son you have to study about this society so you can pick the best officer for your business.” So what do you think? If you get the point, you will get this conclusion. Entrepreneur is better than officer.

Being successful entrepreneur is not always need big capital to start our business. We can start our business with small capital but we need big motivation to make our own way.
There are some possible reasons why we have to choose being entrepreneur:
1. In Indonesia, less than 1% people are entrepreneurs.
2. We can make a chance for big changes.
3. We can choose our business based on our lovely activities or another reasons. Because it’s our business so it depends on our deciding.

How to Be Entrepreneur?
1. START WITH A DREAM
A dream is where it all started. It will determine your self-image and how well or poorly you do at everything. No more “I can’t”.

2. Determining your GOALS
Succeeding and seeing results should be a lot easier if you know what YOU want. If you enjoy what you’re doing and you’re getting better, you’ll want to do it more. The goals become even bigger and better.

3. LOVE your business
If you want to be successful entrepreneur, so you have to know well about your business. It will make your customers love your business also.

4. Learn The BASICS of BUSINESS
Buy low, sell high.

5. Taking Risks
You will face challenges from friends, classmates, teachers, even people you don’t know. It is GOING TO HAPPEN. You can plan ahead of time that there will be targets. Top performers and successful people always embrace the pitfalls but stay committed to their goals.

6. Seek Advice, But Follow Your Belief
Consult Consultants, ask the experts, but follow your hearts.

7. Work HARD
It doesn’t mean that you have to be ‘workaholics’. But, you have to be able to manage your business as well as you can.

8. Make Friends As Much As Possible
When you set out to accomplish something, friends notice. It creates a level of confidence, courage and determination in you. Little by little people start to see and wonder how they can get the same results. People start to follow!
Beside that in business world, we have to be able to know well people characters. It will help us to develop our business, to get more costumers, and etc.

9. Deal With FAILURES
So now your future depends on you. Your people (workers) watch what you say and, more importantly, what you do. So your choices and decisions will impact many. There is no “pressure” on you because you are confident you can make your own choices, as opposed to the group’s choices. And if you find some failures, just get them as your friends that will help you in future.

10. Do it NOW!

Independence Day

“Semangat ?!"

“Semoga mereka bisa!"

“Menjabat tangan penuh harap!”

“Berharap aku pun bisa!”

“Merelaksasikan kepala sejenak…”

“Aku sempat bertanya,”

“Aku tersenyum was – was,”

“Dan aku yang menahan air mata,”

”Dan kami yang kelelahan,”

”Dan kami tetap optimis!”

Dan optimis itu, akhirnya menciptakan suasana bersahaja

”Maka dari itu aku membantu mu...”

”Meski aku di tengah kebingungan...”

Meskipun aku sedikit lelah, tak apa...

Ada hal lain yang bisa aku lakukan,

Ngeksis di belakang yang foto

Senam wajah,

Azhar, ”Heeeee...”

Irwan, ”Ou..........”

Semua pun akhirnya dilakukan demi

kebanggaan, keceriaan dan senyuman - senyuman ini...

Selly Keizer Effendy (Author, Script Writer)

Hi Teen!

Profile
Name             : Selly Keizer Effendy
Age                 : 40 years old (29 May 1970)
Work              : Writer
Passion Field : Author and Script writer

Last time, I (Anggi Siregar) try to ask Selly Keizer to know well about her Passion. Maybe, she is not teenagers at all now, but I think she had spirit when she was teenager. So, this is a review. A for Anggi Siregar and S for Selly Keizer.

A : Can you told us the beginning of your desire to pursue this field?

S : When I worked in a bank in Indonesia, sometimes I tried to follow modelling contest and became extras in one of Production House of Dewi Yul and Ray Sahetapy’s movie. I like to ask Mr. Ray about how to make movies script, and he gave me a lot of examples of scenarios that he played. I started learning from those scripts. Then, I tried to bring my own scenario to Multivision Plus Production House. Amazing, they interested with my scenario and gave me a chance to write scenario of “Jin&Jun”, “Tuyul&Mbak Yul”, “Pak Kapten”, “Gara2 Plus”, and etc. Beside Multivision Plus, I also wrote some scripts for Millenium Visitama Films (“Mr. Hologram”), Prima Entertainment (FTV), and also Indosiar(“Namanya Juga Cinta”,”Milky Man”,etc). I also took a course of directing in P2FTV for 3 months. After that, I got a proposal to be assistant director in one of Production House. Then I worked for 1 months for unvalueable experiences. Because being assistant director needs extra time, so I decided to not continue being assistant director and continue my passion to write another scenario till 2005. In 2005, I got married and stopped to work because my husband told me not to work after that. But in 2007, I really wanted to do it again. So, I tried to make a novel but there is a lesson for scenario maker. I tried to make a difference. And slowly but sure, my husband gave me a chance.

A : When does this passion appear?

S : When I was 22 years old.

A : What is the biggest obstacle?

S : Many things.

A : What are the opinions of people around you related with your passion?

S : At first, my husband disagreed with this passion and this job. Because I have a child, and he thought that is better for me to focus with my child. But once again, slowly but sure he gave big support and also help me desaign the cover.

A : What will you do in future?

S : I have a dream to make my own Production House and also directed my own movie.

Sharing

A : What things that we have to have to be someone likes you?

S : Study hard, love to read, and asking informations. Don’t be afraid to ask something. Talent and big motivation.

A : Can you share with us some tips?

S : Study hard, asking the informations, and try to find out. By the way, you can learn how to make your own scenario from my novel. In this novel, I use a simple language so you can understand well. Because, taking a course now is so expensive and very difficult to understand. So, you can try to study based on my novel. “Ku Kejar Cintaku Sampai ke Holland”. ^^

A : What do you think about 'limitation' word?

S : Limitations could be a stone barrier but if you try really hard, that rock barrier will be eliminated by itself. Mainly, we've got to have you strong willingness to succeed if it would have success!

Once again, you can buy my novel and learn about it. If you have any questions you can ask me anytime. I hope it can motivate you. Best Regards.

Well, that was a review of teen's achievement. Does it motivate you? So, do it now! Don't give up with any bad conditions. Hi teen! It’s our turn!
